Joan’s Journal, How do I post an article to FB?

I get this question a lot so I though I would answer how you can post things to FB.

First when you are on the internet each site you visit has an address.  It is at the top of the page and begins with http or https. You highlight this and copy it.  It is then on your computer clipboard until you paste it somewhere.

URL address

So go to your Profile Page on Facebook and paste it in the “What’s on your mind?” line.  See below:

On your FB profile this is where you write your status or post a photo, video, and or link to a website.

Copy and paste your link or URL address into the “What’s On Your Mind?” line.

This screen pops up.  It will show the website and page or article that you are posting.  The thumbnail (small picture) can show or not show if you check “no thumbnail”.  If there are more than one picture on a page than you can choose which one you want to be displayed.  That is what “choose a thumbnail” means.

Where I post the URL address I can now delete what I previously pasted  and write a message in that spot to my friends about the link.  Then post.

To post a picture you click on “add photo/video”  You will get a screen that wants you to browse your computer’s folders for the picture you have saved.  Choose, write something about it and then post.

There you go…you can now add an article, web page, and/or picture to your FB profile.

Until next time…
